Rallycakes!

Watertown, MA--  The Buttermilk Five came back from deficits of 5-1, 6-5, and 10-5 to defeat 21 Nickels 19-11 when it was all said and done.

The BM5 (2-0) offense was slow out of the gates and struggled to push runs across the plate, but the Pancake defense limited the "nickel and diming" and scored in bunches to remain undefeated.

BM5'er Brent Knapp, who had 3 hits and 2 martinis, said, "I don't know.  Maybe playing 72 holes today was the key.  We have a good team.  We moved the line right along all night.  I don't think i broke a sweat though.  I'm pretty cool, right?"

The Hot Cakes got hotter after, Skipper, Chris Hogan, instructed his team to take more pitches and "don't swing at junk."

A season high 11 runs in the 6th inning sealed the deal as Katie "The Grill" Weber scored twice and Justin Adams belted his second home run without losing his hat around the bases.  Newcomer, Andrew "The Shuffleboard" also contributed with some impressive moonshots of his own.

Hogan was stellar all night pitching to contact and letting his defense take care of business.

The BM5 takes on the Next Timers next Friday, 5/29 at 6:15pm at Danehy field.  However, the game is pending re-scheduling.   Stay tuned for updates.
